In our previous Substack post highlighting Dr. Jerome Corsi’s The Little Red Book of Democrat Socialist Lies: The 2020 Presidential Election Edition, exposing the Left’s attempt to protect the lawless Anti-American invaders Obama/Biden flooded into America, in this post we conclude that chapter as we shine light on that darkness.
SOCIALIST LIES
“The United States is a wealthy nation that can afford to decriminalize illegal border crossings while offering undocumented immigrants generous social welfare benefits, including taxpayer-funded government health insurance, especially for those seeking asylum from dangerous countries south of the border.”
Democrats cite (as if the doctrine were written into our founding documents) the European poem, “The New Colossus,” penned by Emma Lazarus for the Statue of Liberty as justification for open borders and unrestrained immigration. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore,” she wrote. “Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
Sen. Elizabeth Warren has embraced these words as if they were written by Thomas Jefferson into the Declaration of Independence. “Our values are etched in stone on the Statue of Liberty,” Warren has proclaimed. “They will not be replaced.” Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas agrees. “The words of the Statue of Liberty won’t be changed at the racist whims of this administration,” he has insisted. “And neither will the character of this country.” See Jacey Fortin, “ ‘Huddled Masses’ in Statue of Liberty Poem are European, Trump Official Says,” New York Times, Aug. 14, 2019.
CONCLUSIONS:
Michelle Malkin, in her 2019 book Open Borders Inc.: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction, summarized the nation’s open border crisis as follows: “Amnesty begets amnesty. Immigration anarchy breeds more anarchy. Malkin notes that the rallying cry of the Democratic Socialists of America, the group she cites as the radical leftists leading protests against ICE since President Trump took office, is as follows: “No ban. What Malkin has termed as leftist “sanctuary anarchists” have organized a movement under the Twitter hashtag “#AbolishICE” despite the risk that foreign terrorists join the criminals, gang members, and drug cartel operatives exploiting open borders to prey on American citizens while seeking to undermine our rule of law. Meanwhile, Antifa agitators spit on Trump supporters, “throwing bottles, hurling eggs, vandalizing their cars, burning American flags, and waving Mexican flags.” See Michelle Malkin, Open Borders Inc.: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction (Washington, D.C.: Regnery Publishing, 2019), page 144.
Malkin warns that open borders anarchists are joined by establishment GOP business executives who see illegal immigrants as cheap labor, as well as by the Catholic Church with a Vatican under the control of Pope Francis, who increasingly promotes socialist plans and goals as if they were dogma issued with the authority of the pope’s presumed infallibility. Where Democratic socialists see immigration as a question of conscience driven by the need to accept and protect asylum-seeking migrants arriving at our southern border, President Trump insists that a nation with open borders is no nation at all.
